    In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium. Add the Italian sausage and cook until browned and crumbled, about 5-6 minutes. Drain fat.

    Meanwhile, cook rotini pasta in boiling salted water for 5 minutes (al dente). Drain and rinse with cool water.

    Spray the crock pot insert with nonstick spray. Add a thin layer of pizza sauce to coat the bottom.

    Layer half the cooked pasta, sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, bell pepper, onion, black olives, oregano, garlic powder, and a sprinkle of red pepper flakes. Top with half of the mozzarella.

    Repeat layers with remaining ingredients. Pour over the rest of the pizza sauce and finish with remaining mozzarella and extra pepperoni on top.
