Instructions
- 1In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium. Add the Italian sausage and cook until browned and crumbled, about 5-6 minutes. Drain fat.
- 2Meanwhile, cook rotini pasta in boiling salted water for 5 minutes (al dente). Drain and rinse with cool water.
- 3Spray the crock pot insert with nonstick spray. Add a thin layer of pizza sauce to coat the bottom.
- 4Layer half the cooked pasta, sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, bell pepper, onion, black olives, oregano, garlic powder, and a sprinkle of red pepper flakes. Top with half of the mozzarella.
- 5Repeat layers with remaining ingredients. Pour over the rest of the pizza sauce and finish with remaining mozzarella and extra pepperoni on top.
- 6Cover and cook on LOW for 3-4 hours, until bubbly and cheese is fully melted.
- 7Let rest 10 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley and enjoy!
