- 1Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- 2Crush 16 Oreos in a zip-top bag until you have mostly crumbs with some larger pieces.
- 3In a large bowl, cream together 1 cup butter, 2 oz cream cheese, brown sugar, and granulated sugar on medium-high until fluffy.
- 4Beat in eggs and vanilla until fully incorporated.
- 5In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- 6Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture just until combined.
- 7Fold in the crushed Oreo cookies by hand, being careful not to overmix.
- 8Scoop dough into 1/4 cup-sized balls, place on baking sheet, and gently flatten the tops.
- 9Bake for 11–13 minutes, until edges are set and centers are slightly soft.
- 10Cool on baking sheet for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to finish cooling.
- 11For the frosting, beat 1/2 cup butter until creamy, then gradually add powdered sugar, vanilla, pinch of salt, and heavy cream until fluffy and pipeable.
