    Remove membranes from backs of the ribs and pat dry.

    Mix brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, chili powder, and cayenne in a bowl.

    Rub spice mixture all over the ribs; let rest 20 minutes.

    Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C). Place a wire rack in a lined baking sheet. Pour apple cider vinegar into the tray.

    Lay ribs bone-side down on the rack. Cover tightly with foil.
