- 1Line an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment or foil and lightly grease.
- 2In a medium saucepan, add chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and butter. Melt over low heat, stirring constantly, until smooth.
- 3Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla extract and salt. Fold in chopped nuts, if using.
- 4Spread fudge into prepared pan and smooth the top.
- 5Refrigerate for 2 hours, or until fully set.
