Instructions
- 1Heat olive oil in a large skillet or Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add sausage and cook, breaking it up, until browned.
- 2Add pepperoni and cook for another 2 minutes.
- 3Stir in diced onion and bell pepper. Sauté until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
- 4Add garlic, oregano, basil, and red pepper flakes (if using), and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- 5Add uncooked pasta, chicken broth, and pizza sauce. Stir to combine and make sure pasta is mostly submerged.
- 6Bring to a simmer, cover, and cook for 12-15 minutes, stirring a few times, until pasta is just al dente.
- 7Uncover. Stir in half the Parmesan and olives, if using. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
- 8Sprinkle mozzarella and remaining Parmesan on top. Cover and let sit 2 minutes to melt cheese, or broil uncovered for a browned top.
- 9Garnish with fresh parsley or basil and serve piping hot!
