- 1Peel and cube potatoes. Boil in salted water until fork tender, about 15-20 minutes.
- 2Drain and return potatoes to pot. Mash with butter, warmed milk, 1 cup cheddar, and diced jalapenos. Season to taste and set aside.
- 3Heat olive oil in a skillet. Sauté onion and carrots for 4-5 minutes. Add garlic and cook 1 minute.
- 4Stir in smoked brisket; cook for 2-3 minutes. Add peas, tomato paste, smoked paprika, Worcestershire, and broth. Simmer 5-7 minutes, then season to taste.
