- 1Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- 2In a skillet over medium heat, cook sausage, breaking it up until browned and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes. Drain excess fat.
- 3In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- 4Spread cooked sausage in the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle cheddar cheese evenly over sausage. Pour egg mixture over the cheese.
- 5Arrange frozen tater tots in a single, even layer on top (no need to thaw).
- 6Bake uncovered for 40-45 minutes until eggs are set and tater tots are crispy and golden. For extra crunch, broil for 2 minutes at the end.
- 7Rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with green onions if desired. Slice and serve warm.
