    Warm milk to 110°F and combine with sugar and yeast. Let foam for 5-10 minutes.

    Add softened butter, egg, and salt. Mix, then add flour gradually until a soft, sticky dough forms.

    Knead dough for 6-8 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled, about 1 hour.

    Punch down dough, divide into 12 portions, and shape each into a ball.
