- 1In a large bowl, whisk together the warm milk, sugar, and instant yeast. Stir in melted butter and egg until well blended.
- 2Add bread flour and salt. Mix until a shaggy dough forms, then knead on a floured surface for 8 minutes, or until smooth and elastic.
- 3Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
- 4Punch down dough and divide into 12 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a ball and arrange in a greased 9x13 baking pan.
- 5Cover and let rolls rise again for 30-40 minutes, until puffy and almost doubled.
- 6Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20-22 minutes, until golden brown on top. Immediately brush with additional melted butter.
- 7Cool slightly and serve warm for maximum fluffiness!
